Brunei Darussalam for the first time is hosting the South-East Asian Karate Federation Championship. The 12th SEA-KF Karate Championship was held on 17th June afternoon at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas.
The championship was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Organised by the Brunei Darussalam Karate Federation, BRU-KAF, the championship brings together over 400 athletes from 10 ASEAN countries and competing in the Kata and Kumite events for various ages. The championship aims to foster cooperation and communication among the federation members. The championship which is open to the public takes place until 18th June.
